Lucy Points

Mat Instructor

Lucy earned her Bachelors of Art in Art from Transylvania University. She worked in design and sales at Kentucky Lighting for ten years. She is currently the manager at Isle of You and a private lighting design consultant.

Lucy first came to BodyWork when she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2001, but she teadily attended our mat classes —even while undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. Two and a half years later, Lucy’s illness is in remission. She and her doctor believe that part of her success can be attributed to her  physical strength and low stress level—both of which she accredits to Pilates.

Phyllis Bertram

Equipment/Mat Instructor

She earned her Bachelors of Science in Health Care Administration from Transylvania University and Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky. She worked as a Physical Therapy technician in work conditioning/hardening at Samaritan Hospital from 1996 until 2003.

Phyllis received her Health and Fitness Instructor certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and her Pilates certification from Power Pilates.
